Before the wheels roll south-to-north across the spine of Oregon, we're throwing a party.
Join the Oregon Timber Trail Alliance for an evening block party in downtown Lakeview, featuring the town's best pizza, live music, and good company under the high-desert sky. It will be a relaxed social gathering to kick off the season's biggest adventure, meet your fellow riders, swap route notes, and settle the pre-departure jitters over a slice.
We'll also be giving away some cool OTTA swag, so come ready.
The next morning, riders setting out on the Adventure Route or any other adventure of their own gather at 8:00 AM to roll out together.
An open invitation to the OTT Race single-track crowd: For those competing in their own multi-day, unofficial bikepacking race along the original OTT single-track route, with their own Grand Depart at Deep Creek Campground that same Saturday morning, please consider this an open invitation come celebrate with us Friday evening before you head out. All riders welcome.

We're asking attendees to RSVP ahead of time so we can give the City of Lakeview an accurate headcount and keep you connected to the Alliance and the hard trail stewardship work that keeps these routes alive.
The OTTA's Adventure Route is a 552-mile alternative alignment of the Oregon Timber Trail, winding through the high country east of the Cascades from Lakeview, near the California border, to Hood River at the Washington line. It runs along rocky ridges, skirts alpine lakes, crosses rivers, and passes through a handful of small communities isolated, challenging, and absolutely stunning. Roughly 73% is non-paved road, 19% is low-traffic pavement, and 8% follows easy trail. Unlike the original route, the Adventure Route stays east of the Cascades rather than dropping down to Oakridge.

To be clear: our Adventure Route Grand Depart starting Saturday morning is not an organized or sanctioned event it's simply a group of riders out to ride the same route at the same time. In addition, the Oregon Timber Trail Alliance is not affliated with the OTT Race.

Cedar Keys of Oregon Territory Outfitters is offering a shuttle from the MAX Station in Gresham (Portland area) down to Lakeview, with pickup stops along the way. Please contact him directly for details.
